Student Exchange

AIR Exchange Programme

The AIR project offers an international student exchange programme in which Master's and PhD students from the participating partner universities can apply. Students will have the chance to undertake a 10 to 14 day student exchange visit to partner institutions.

Therein, African and German students have the opportunity to participate in exchange visits to African universities including the University of Zambia (UNZA), Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST), Nelson Mandela University (NMU) and Stellenbosch University (SUN) both in South Africa, Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) in Mozambique, University of Malawi (UNIMA), University of Zimbabwe (UZ) and Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) in Germany.

Visiting exchange students will be involved in the work of faculties and institutes abroad that deal with the topics of renewable energies and participate in dedicated courses including giving lectures to students. This will allow them to gain vital insights into the processes and contents of studying and teaching abroad and to put the lessons learned and experiences in their home countries into practice.

If possible, students can participate one day at the AIR project meeting which takes place twice a year in order discuss the lessons learned and improvement suggestions. This will help to facilitate the student’s mobility in the future and support the AIR project in meeting the targets.
