During the AIR kick-off meeting the team visited the company Citrin Solar GmbH in Moosburg, Germany, which is the German industry partner of the project. Michael Ganslmeier, one of the managers of the private limited company, warmly welcomed the AIR team and introduced the company and its products. Afterwards, Mr. Ganslmeier showed us the firm’s premises including manufacturing and logistics hall.
Citrin Solar develops solutions for service water, heating and swimming pool technology which they tailor to the specific customer requirements.
Together with Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) the company also developed a high efficient thermosiphon system which shows that a cooperation between universities and the industry is very beneficial for both sides.
This can be taken as a great example for the AIR partner universities that also want to incorporate their industrial stakeholders when developing new courses in the field of renewable energies that meet the industry demands in their respective countries.
